We made the decision to have it in the fellowship area of the community church due to the fact that it was a large guest list. We had the baby shower on a Saturday afternoon. We decided to use our presents for the baby shower decorations. I had purchased a pink and white infant blanket, which we draped over the side of the cradle. We pinned several rattles and other infant toys to the blanket with diaper pins. We then showed the little outfits that my sister had bought. We finished the baby shower decorations for the presents table by placing a big stuffed bear into the cradle. It is so much fun to decorating for a baby shower! For the food service table we had an arrangement of fresh flowers from the local florist. She used silky pink carnations, baby's breathe and daisies for the arrangement. We determined that no other baby shower festive decorations needed to be put on this table. We did have pink napkins that we put on this table, along with a cake that was decorated with a stork holding a small doll in a pink frosting blanket. We had also gotten a corsage for our niece and one for every of the new grandmothers to be. We felt that the room looked very good and we would not have to spend a great deal of time cleaning up baby shower decorations because they would all be sent home as presents to our niece. We had a great turn out for the baby shower party. My niece received quite a few very nice presents. She was glad that we had the baby shower in a space that was not cramped. As she progresses with the maternity she is feeling more claustrophobic. Within 30 moments after the baby shower party was over the fellowship area was cleaned up and we were on our way home.
