Reading books on line is not really that good for contemporary literature which you can buy inside the store. You may as well either buy it or borrow it from the library, or listen to it, with books on cd. The great thing about books online, however, is that you can often find quite old ones with only a little trouble. Resources such as Project Gutenberg permit you to get into the great classics of writing from all times and places around the world. As long as it's no longer copy protected, you can legally put the publication on-line. Of course, the area where books on-line have the best advantage of all is with audio books. The great thing about audio books on-line is that it is so much more convenient than having to borrow them from the library or go to an audio book store. Instead, you can simply download them to your PC and listen to them at your convenience. If you want to take them with you, you can place them on an iPod or burn them onto CD.
